Program Description:  Science, Technology and Math Magnets are interdisciplinary, standards based, inquiry-based, and real world problem-based programs that teach students about STeM-related subjects. These programs are geared to the student’s interest in science, computer technology, and mathematics.

Other Theme-Based Activities:  Our Annual Engineering Challenge where each grade level is introduced to their challenge. The timeline of events are there is a school-wide Engineering Kickoff Assembly to get entire student body enthused about the challenge. Next, classes are introduced to their Engineering Problem where they will design their prototype and test to failure. Then, groups redesign solutions based on analysis of first test and classroom competitions are held. Champion groups from each class are introduced to the new engineering problem with increased difficulty. Groups go through the design process and create final prototype. Grade-level competitions are held where each group's prototype is tested in front of entire grade level. One group is crowned champion from each grade level and they receive a trophy.
