Program Capacity 2016-2017:
Irving is now officially a STEAM Magnet. On September 26, 2013, the U.S. Department of Education awarded our school $1.8 million to implement a world class STEAM Magnet program. A STEAM Magnet strictly speaking is a specialized school that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Specifically, the money from the Federal Government will be spent creating one state of the art Engineering/Robotics Lab ($275,000), one Film/Media/Graphic Arts Studio classroom ($80,000), new instruments for our orchestra ($50,000).
We are open daily for tours, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. We are open on Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Parents should call 15 minutes prior to check if we are available at the time.
