Science, Technology and Math Magnets are interdisciplinary, standards based, inquiry-based, and real world problem-based programs that teach students about STeM-related subjects. These programs are geared to the student’s interest in science, computer technology, and mathematics.

Program Capacity 2016-2017:
Wright MIddle School STEAM Magnet is a full magnet school with an Engineering and Design pathway. Instruction is geared toward Project Based Learning(PBL)in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Wright offers a rigorous academic curriculum which is supplemented by partnerships with: Loyola Marymount University STEM group, Buck Institute, and Project Lead The Way. We also offer various enrichment courses(ie. Spanish, Orchestra, Jazz, Theater, and Various Project Lead the Way classes that focus on Engineering and Design). Our staff is diverse, knowledgeable & energetic. The teachers oversee and participate in various clubs that ensures each child has a place to mingle amongst like-minded peers.
Our intention is to foster belonging and make possible transformation for every child who walks into our school through deep connections as well as space and resources that reflect diversity and promote pride in self and school.
Wright Middle School STEAM Magnet will be holding tours for prospective parents and students on the following dates:
October 5th, 13th, 19th, 27th
November 2nd, 10th
Tours will meet in the Main office at 9:00am & conclude about 10:30am
Our school tours are led by any of our Design STEAM Team members and students.
