Program Description
Gifted Magnets serve students who demonstrate ability or strong potential to work two years above grade level in academic subjects. These centers offer enriched interdisciplinary academic environments that are exciting, challenging, and encourage students to use creative/critical-thinking skills. High Ability and Highly Gifted applicants may apply to a Gifted Magnet.

After-School Programs:
Ambler students are involved in STEP Up after school program. Step Up provides academic support and enrichment activities five days a week. STEP Up is a safe alternative to being alone, unsupervised and on the streets.
Other Theme-Based Activities:
Ambler students have the opportunity to practice oral language skills by participating in weekly "morning radio" to share educational information related to various themes like Latino Heritage, African American Heroes, Test taking strategies, etc.This year we are also excited about the returning the Festival of Literature!
Wall of Fame/Notable Alumni:
Ambler is now an AEMP School.The Academic English Mastery Program is a research- based program to address the language needs of African American, Mexican American, Hawaiian Americans, and Native Americans students.The program incorporates into the curriculum strategies to facilitate the acquisition of academic English in an environment that validates, value, and build upon the language and culture of students
