Program Description
Public Service Magnets are designed and tailored to prepare and young people who wish to pursue careers in criminology, fire, forensics, medicine, law and political science. There is strong focus on critical thinking, problem solving and communication, enabling students to see the connections between their classroom curriculum and the challenges of today’s world. These Magnets are ideal settings for future doctors, fire fighters, lawyers, police officers and other professions related to the Public Service field.

Magnet Vision:
Tom Bradley Global Awareness Magnet’s vision is to cultivate academic success through a vigorously enhanced Social Studies curriculum. As a Global Awareness Magnet, instruction is provided through the study of government and politics. The emphasis on the classics combined with current issues and events is facilitated through technology via one-to-one iPads for every student. Throughout the year, our students reflect on cultural diversity, global economics, politics, and civil rights. Our goal is to groom leaders of the future who are responsible and conscious citizens and positively impact others around the world.
Magnet Mission:
Tom Bradley Global Awareness Magnet seeks to have students leave our school with a sense of pride in themselves and their community as they are ready to take on the challenges of the world. Supplemental instruction and community outreach programs provide students with strategies that improve academic achievement and their ability to have social interaction with people from other cultures and peaceful problem-solving skills.
