Program Description
Public Service Magnets are designed and tailored to prepare and young people who wish to pursue careers in criminology, fire, forensics, medicine, law and political science. There is strong focus on critical thinking, problem solving and communication, enabling students to see the connections between their classroom curriculum and the challenges of today’s world. These Magnets are ideal settings for future doctors, fire fighters, lawyers, police officers and other professions related to the Public Service field.

Our vision at Northridge Middle School Medical and Health Careers Magnet Center is to prepare students to meet the challenges of the 21st Century to explore pathways in the medical and health careers fields.
Magnet Mission:
Our mission is for students to be able to engage in challenging curricula and to foster personal and academic explorations. Students will be able to work independently and collaboratively as contributing members of the community and society. Our middle grades students (6.7.8) will be prepared to continue their medical and health careers exploration at regional medical high school magnets.
