Program Description
Communication Arts (journalism, radio-television broadcasting, theatre, video/film production, computers, digital arts and advertising) prepares students to acquire and accurately use information and communication technologies equipping them to effectively communicate orally, in writing, and through multimedia formats. Magnets infuse technology throughout the curriculum to create exciting and rigorous programs.

Daniel Pearl Magnet High School has maintained a graduation rate from 95% to 100% over the last 5 years. This is a direct result of our dedicated staff, our small student body, a rigorous curriculum and a safe and supportive learning environment for students. We are a comprehensive high school, on our own campus, with a strong writing-based curriculum that focuses on all forms of communications, including journalism, media and music, offering a full-range of A-G courses, including honors and AP, which meet college admissions requirements.

Our school is split into 4 houses named after famous journalists. Through our house activities, students mingle with mixed grade levels. They promote positive school values and community school wide.
