Success Secret:
The East LA Performing Arts Magnet at Esteban E. Torres High School is an exciting place to learn. Students prepare for college by studying music (choir, orchestra, piano, and guitar/percussion), theatre and dance in a rigorous program with many opportunities to perform. Students work with professional actors, dancers and musicians, rehearse for shows and have the chance to create and perform original work. With a high graduation rate and excellent college acceptance rate, East LA Performing Arts Magnet offers students a way to prepare for college and develop as a performer at the same time. Students have access to several Honors and AP Classes, are given a laptop to use at school and at home, and all students have access to college classes, taught by professors, that are hosted on campus in the fall and spring
