Program Description
Communication Arts (journalism, radio-television broadcasting, theatre, video/film production, computers, digital arts and advertising) prepares students to acquire and accurately use information and communication technologies equipping them to effectively communicate orally, in writing, and through multimedia formats. Magnets infuse technology throughout the curriculum to create exciting and rigorous programs.

Students learn to effectively combine cutting-edge technology with fine art and design aesthetics to compete in the fields of Architecture, Digital Design, and Filmmaking. Students follow a three-year sequencing of coursework in their chosen strand, which is aligned with the new LA High Tech Consortium, giving them both high school and college credit and providing them with a clear career pathway from high school to college to the workplace.
