Program Description
Public Service Magnets are designed and tailored to prepare and young people who wish to pursue careers in criminology, fire, forensics, medicine, law and political science. There is strong focus on critical thinking, problem solving and communication, enabling students to see the connections between their classroom curriculum and the challenges of today’s world. These Magnets are ideal settings for future doctors, fire fighters, lawyers, police officers and other professions related to the Public Service field.

Magnet Vision:
The Magnet Center for Law, Government, and Public Service will empower students to compete in the global marketplace and be prepared to advocate for themselves, their families, and their communities. Students will use and develop restorative justice through dialogue to create consensus in their communities with the goal of establishing social and environmental justice.
Magnet Mission:
The Magnet Center for Law, Government, and Public Service will provide students with the opportunity to become engaged in civic duty through developing restorative justice for social, community, and/or environmental issues, provide a pathway to postsecondary opportunities via career exploration, and ultimately help students become engaged citizens and change agents towards creating a fair democracy.
