Welcome to the new eChoices website. You will be able to access information
about the Choices process and new features that will be available to you through
this website. Complete and submit the application ONLY if you are interested in
your child participating in the Magnet, Permits With Transportation (PWT), or Public
School Choice (PSC) program, or if you wish for your child to change from one Magnet
to another. Applicants MUST be residents of the Los Angeles Unified School District
(LAUSD) at the time of application and while participating in an LAUSD Magnet, PWT
or Public School Choice program.
Application Process Timeline
Applications mailed to homes: NOVEMBER 7, 2008
Ontime Application deadline: FRIDAY, JANUARY 9, 2009 at
5:00 P.M.
Deadline to receive Late Applications (NO PSC): FRIDAY, FEBRUARY
20, 2009
Confirmation/Correction Letters mailed: FEBRUARY 2009
Gifted/High Ability/Highly Gifted Eligible/Ineligible Letters mailed:
MARCH 2009
Notification Letters Magnet/PWT mailed: MAY 2009
PSC School of Choice Selection Letters mailed: MAY 2009

If your child is currently attending an LAUSD school a personalized CHOICES brochure
will be mailed to your home in mid-November.
Choices Applications are available at your local LAUSD school,
Los Angeles Public Libraries,
and at
Local District offices
in late November.
